What the API covers
The API is built around the things you need to automate:
- Creating and retrieving payments, including refunds
- Submitting payouts, individually or in batches
- Currency conversion as part of a payment or payout
- Retrieving balances, transactions and statements
- Webhooks for every status change
Designed for money, not just data
Every request that moves money takes an idempotency key, so a network timeout and a retry cannot result in paying twice. Statuses are explicit and stable, and every movement carries your own reference through to settlement.
Errors tell you what went wrong and whether retrying is safe.
Testing
A test environment is provided with onboarding, including the failure cases — declines, insufficient funds, invalid accounts — so you can build against what actually happens rather than only the successful path.
